"Five APEC members are working to convince North Korea to abandon its pursuit
of nuclear weapons," Bush said in a speech to business executives.
"And I can report to you today, having visited with the other nations involved
in that collaborative effort, that the will is strong, that the effort is united,
and the message is clear to Mr. Kim Jong-il: Get rid of your nuclear weapons
programs," Bush said, referring to the North Korean leader.

五カ国首脳との会談後に演説したブッシュ大統領は「五カ国の指導者は北朝鮮の核爆弾廃棄に
ついて合意した。私は今、みなさんに報告するのだが、関係各国との協調体制によって、我々
の（核廃棄への）意志は強く、我々の力は団結したものだ。金正日へのメッセージは明確であ
って：あなたの核爆弾開発計画を廃棄せよ、というものだ」
