You must be so proud that Hyundai took North American Car of the Year honor for the very first time in the history of Korean automotive industry. Congratulations!

However, is it such a big deal when one considers American automotive industry is in a decline and the market there is hardly growing.

I have almost forgotten the number of times Japanese vehicles were nominated and received this what is was then a prestigious award of the past, but more recently both Japanese & European vehicle manufacturers and indeed American manufacturers themselves also are putting significant investment in the growing markets, particularly in Asia such as China & India.

Having said that, I hope the day will come when the Korean vehicle manufacturer is able to receive the same award for the second time if that makes you guys so happy & proud. Good luck!
