For no reason I could fathom, it opens with footage of the Hiroshima mushroom cloud, though the action is set 50 years earlier. And the show reaches its climax with grunting Japanese samurai mercilessly laying into a large number of defenceless Korean ladies-in-waiting with their swords. It is as if Britain had decided to celebrate hosting a big sporting event with Germany by putting on a musical about the bombing of Dresden and the Final Solution.
