When you look at the numbers of, the percentages of, foreign people living in Japan, the vast numbers are Asians.
So when we think about foreigners living in Japan, when I think about it, I thik of, you know, Western, Caucasian people such as myself. But in fact, there’s a huge number of people that are of Asian descent, and some people who have been living here for generations, they’re technically foreigners living in Japan.
That’s my personal feeling. What do you think? I mean, you’re here as a Japanese person obviously, but you also have sort of a leg out, so I think sometimes you look at Japan from a distance, I imagine, because you have the ability to. If you had the choise, would you want to be Japanese? That’s a strange question, but if you had your choise to do it over again, would you choose to be Japanese?
