Hello! A_runner-san
A_Runner-san,
OK, in that case, it may still be worthwhile to stay. However, don't spend too much time on it, and if you find that it's affecting your health, just quit it. It's not worth it to be angry or even have the thought of being angryat those things when you can spend the time with your dear wife, girlfriend, kids, or whoever. I fully understand how you are feeling and I honestly respect your iron-willed yet accommodating attitude.
When you think about it, the thoughts of thegeneral populous are products or by-products of education or government propaganda. From their point of view, it is totally fine to think their way. In fact, in each country, one of the goals of education is to raise a population that will service thestate. In other words, it is impossible to be unbiased. So, every Japanese person since he or she was born had no choice as to what was to get into his or her brain. This same thing also applies to all other peoples. Do I get angry at a Japanese lady whosays she wants to punch my face because I look like her ex-boyfriend? No. Of course not, because I know that she probably had a lot of bad experience with her ex-boyfriend and it is only natural that she would have that feeling (though I certainly don'twant to encounter such a Japanese lady!). With that in mind, I would not be angry and I would try to understand the feeling of that Japanese lady and acknowledge the fact that it might be natural for her to have that thought. Well...luckily, I have thefortune to be able to live in probably the nicest and friendliest place in the world

- Canada. Here, I met a lot of friendly people of all races, and I was able to listen to opinions of many western people and scholars. Western scholars and ordinaryperson tend to be more objective. Well, they may not be objective all the time, but at least they want throw insults at me for no reason. I have the advantage of being able to read Chinese, English, and Japanese books. So I can see views from those 3perspectives. (You see! Learning a language will make you a more informed and better person!)
Anyhow, I respect whatever you do, A_runner-san. As I mentioned before, it doesn't hurt to listen to some radical comments once in a while aferall.
Have a niceday!
Good luck in Japan!
