We'd like you Chinese people know how different your recognition of history from ones of other Asian countries (excluding Korea).

We Japanese, even the most right-winged people, think that we have to know what the Japanese government and troops had done indeed, search our conscience and learn important things from it.

But so far, our school textbooks have been too self-torturing on the past of our country. They are describing on our history so much worse than truth. Completely misrepresenting the facts.

The new textbook, as you can find if you read it, is not praising/glorifying militarism or invasion. It only gives us a different viewpoint on our history.

I think, no history textbook (even yours and ours) can describe the "real" truth. All of them includes their countries'/publishers' own interpretation.

The important thing is that we allow and respect the difference each other.
And, we have to allow various viewpoints on our history.

The attitude not to allow historical viewpoints which, you think, is wrong causes confrontation and riot.
