今回のＮＡＴＯによる中国大使館への爆撃に対して、全日本中国人博士協会の会員からは強い憤慨の声が上がった
。理事会が作成したアメリカ大統領宛の抗議文を、会員たちは個々に電子メールで送った。抗議文は大使館攻撃に最
大級の抗議をした上、責任者の処罰と被害者への賠償を要求し、空爆の停止とコソボ問題の平和解決を呼びかけた。

Dear President Bill Clinton of the United States of America, I, a member of the Chinese Academy of Scientists and Engineers in Japan, hereby lodge our
strongest protest and severest comdemnation against the UnitedStates of America and you as its
president for your barbaric attack on the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, Yugoslavia on May 7, which
killed 3 Chinese journalists and seriously injured many other Chinese diplomat personnel.

Attacking diplomaticmissions and diplomatic properties is obviously against international laws
and international norms of human rights, which the United States of America have always pressed
other countries to follow.
You claim that the attack was not intentional. Andit was reported an old map was used. How could
it be possible that the embassy of an permanent member of the United Nations Security Council was
not indicated correctly in your map for exclusion from possible attacks? Who is responsiblefor
this "terrible mistake"? We strongly demand you fire and punish the CIA boss and others who are
responsible for the loss of life, though this does not return our fellow countrymen alive.
