I m willing to listen to your opinion.
It seems that you think you know a lot about Taiwan. OK, how about you tell me what you think of the Taiwanese? How do you know I haven't read enough about Taiwan? I wasn't surprised at what some Taiwanese said in this forum. It seems that you arethe one who assumes that nobody understands Taiwan. I admit that I am not a Taiwan expert but at least I have my opinion of things should go. I've studied Taiwanese history before and I understand how they think (though not extremely thoroughly). If youdon't like my opinion, say what you don't agree with it and put forward your own. I can find out the facts from books, magazines and from my Taiwanese friends. I don't need to come here to find out "mere facts". I want to listen to people's opinions, notfacts listed out on page 24 of "The History of Taiwan" or something like that. As I said before, I have the link that you gave me already and I was always looking at it. You don't seem to understand my point.
Every society has different types ofpeople. There are doves, eagles, moderates, and so on. I understand that there cannot possibly be only one type of people. Certainly Taiwan is no exception. There are those who are pro-Japanese and there are those who aren't. I have friends in both twogroups. I'm willing to listen to all of them. I don't discriminate people because of their beliefs. I understand that it's going to take some time before we Chinese can solve the Taiwan issue. I'm optimistic and confident that it will be solved in the awin-win fashion in the future. We welcome suggestions from mainland China, Taiwan, HK, Japan, and America. As long as they are useful and constructive, I don't see why they will be rejected outright. May I hear your view on this matter?
