Individual
Wow, it seems that you know a lot about Korean history. Instead of having me restudy Korean history, how about you give me a lesson of your view on Korea. I guess that that will make the discussion more fruitful, won't it?. Yeah, of course there arecases where Koreans are treated OK in Japanese society, but what about the general picture? There are numerous western sources saying how ethnic Koreans are afraid of even letting their Korean names known to their friends. That is very painful. To bedeprived of the ability or desire to express one's own culture is like the ultimate torture of the century.
When Japan lost the war and withdrew their troops from China's northeast, a large number of war orphans and women were left behind. ManyChinese farmers pitied the orphans and widows and took care of them. I don't deny that there were some Chinese who attacked local Japanese residents. However, I think that those Chinese farmers were very brave and admirable. I always think that one mustrespect everyone regardless of the person's nationality. One must consider everyone as an "individual" and treat him or her with respect.
