対米全面テロ

I guess time is really pressing now and perhaps you are instigating a last stroke towards stopping the start of a new war...

You're right about America being too influential, but in America alone cannot confront this new war. America needs maximum support, both from its allies and its former foes. And America's using all of its diplomatic arsenal to ensure that. That alone proves that America needs justification and international consensus for their actions. So far, yes they've been really good at rallying their friends for the common cause -- fight terrorism. But that's because they worked for it. They earned it through meticulously planned diplomatic campaign. Influence, isn't the buying power in the today's world. 　 That, I think, is what U.S. is realizing now, and that's why they are working so hard not to provoke the war hastily, but pressuring them into surrender of the prime suspect.

アメリカが影響力を持ちすぎているという点では、たしかにあたの言い分は正しいでしょう。しかし、アメリカはこの「新しい戦争」に対して単独で立ち向かうことはできません。アメリカは、同盟国やかつての敵国からも、最大限のサポートを必要としています。だから、アメリカはその外交力をフルに使い切って、それを確保しようとしているのです。いまところ、アメリカはテロと闘うことを共通の目的に掲げることで、彼らを味方につけることに成功しています。でも、それはそう努力したからです。周到に計画された外交キャンペーンによって、獲得したのです。現代において、影響力はそれほどの意味を持ちません。私は、だからこそアメリカはこのことを認識し、焦って戦争に至らしめないように、容疑者の引渡しに向けて圧力をかけつづけているのだと思います。
