対米全面テロ

It's been over a week since the horrifying attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. These attacks have impacted the lives and souls of every American. Worldwide support for the United States is huge as we prepare to rid this world of terrorism. We can and will overcome these crimes against humanity because we are strong and we must make this world a safer place.

The United States is a peaceful and kind nation. We've sent help to every corner of the world when it was needed. I work for an organization that works in the field of International Development. Some of the people I work with have been to Afghanistan, Nicaragua, Haiti, Bangladesh and many other developing countries. They're heard from their friends oversees and the support is there. We need to be strong so that we can continue to go to other countries and help some of the world's neediest people.

Many Americans were lost in the disaster at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon but also the lives of many other countries. Let's pick up from where we left off a couple of weeks ago but recognize the world is a very complicated place and we are not alone. We all need to be part of our new mission of global peace and cooperation. We are all God's children and there's over 6 billion of us.

I have to say though that I have never been more proud to be an American. The work of the firefighters, police and volunteers is simply amazing. It seems that there must be gallons of tears that have fallen for each victim in this great tragedy. Those tears have created a river of love for all those lost souls.
