Fallujah religious leader threatens holy war over US onslaught
Fallujahの宗教指導者は米国猛攻撃の上の聖戦を脅かします。
A religious leader from the Iraqi Sunni Muslim rebel stronghold of Fallujah has called for protests against the US military offensive on the city and threatened holy war across Iraq if the onslaught continued.
猛攻撃が続いたならば、Fallujahのイラクのスンニ派教徒反逆者要塞からのある宗教の指導者は都市と脅かされた聖戦のときにイラクの向こう側に米国軍事攻撃に対する抗議を求めました。
"In response to the military raids, Muslims have issued a fatwa (religious order) calling for civil disobedience in all of Iraq and a protest by religious Muslim leaders and humanitarian organisations at the eastern entrance to the city," said Sheikh Mahmud Abdel Aziz.
「武力侵入に対応して、イスラム教徒は東入り口で宗教イスラム教徒のリーダーと人道主義の機構によるイラクと抗議のすべてで都市に市民的不服従を求めながら、fatwa(修道会)を発行しました。」と、Sheikhマフムード・アブデル社のアジスは言いました。
"If following these actions, the government and the occupying forces fail to cease military action, the Muslims will declare Jihad (holy war) and a general uprising against all foreign forces and their collaborators," he said during weekly prayers at a mosque in Baghdad.
「これらの動作に続くならば、政府と占領軍は武力行使をやめません。イスラム教徒はすべての外国力と彼らの共同制作者に対してJihad(聖戦)と一般的な暴動であると宣言するでしょう。」と、彼は毎週の祈りの間、バグダードのモスクで言いました。
The comments came as more than 1,000 US and Iraqi ground troops advanced towards the Iraqi city of Fallujah in the first land operation after weeks of almost daily air strikes.
