米上下両院の情報特別委員会は２４日、中央情報局（ＣＩＡ）や連邦捜査局（ＦＢＩ）などの情報機関が一昨年９月の同時テロ実行犯たちの不審な動きを事前に把握していたにもかかわらず、テロを回避できなかったとする約９００ページの報告書と、情報機関の組織改革などを求める１９項目の勧告書を公表した。
報告書と勧告書は昨年１２月にまとめられたもので、議会側が機密扱いを解除する形で公表した。今回の公表では、実行犯１９人のうちの１５人の出身国であるサウジアラビアに関連する部分などが機密事項として伏せられたままになっている。
さて日本の報道では「FBIとCIAを批判」ということに力点が置かれているが

28ページは公開されていないってこと。

動いていたかもしれない」？

But judging from what US senators and certain people in Washington are saying, Saudi Arabia effectively helped the hijackers to carry out the 9/11 attacks against America. It is a charge which the Saudi Government strongly rejects.
