テロ対策に研究者の力結集を＝全米科学アカデミーが勧告

　 【ワシントン２４日時事】全米科学アカデミーなど米国の４つの科学者団体は２４日、テロリストによる攻撃を阻止するのはもちろん、テロの被害を最小限に食い止めるために、政府と科学者が協力して、防御策などの研究・開発を進めるべきだと勧告する報告書を発表した。

U.S. Should Harness Science and Technology to Fight Terrorism
June 25 -- The United States should take advantage of its scientific and engineering strengths to detect, thwart and respond to terrorist attacks more effectively, says a new National Academies report. An independent homeland security institute should be established to help the government make crucial technical decisions and devise technical strategies for combating terrorism.
