Kazak terrorist attempts suicide in Udhampur jail

UDHAMPUR, June 7: A Kazakhistan terrorist Abdul Qadir, arrested eight years ago for fighting ‘jehad’ with the terrorists in Kashmir, today attempted to commit suicide in the district jail here.

Qadir got an electricity bulb in his barrack, broke it with a window and repeatedly attacked himself with it on his abdomen and chest. Jail staff immediately swung into action and shifted the injured terrorist to hospital, official sources said.

Condition of Qadir was stated to be serious, they said.

Police have registered a case for investigations.
