カンボジアは、国際刑事裁判所（ICC）設立のためのローマ条約を批准するASEAN諸国最初の国家となりました。

平和を愛するカンボジアの民によって示されたこの模範により、他のASEAN諸国、特にタイ、フィリピン、ラオスその他のアジア諸国において、この国際刑事裁判所機構を重んじ、相応なコミットメントがなされることを強く願います。

[ANICC] CAMBODIA the 1st ASEAN Country to Ratify the "Rome Statute" to establish the ICC

[Moderator's note: Cambodia has not yet deposited it's instrument of
ratification with the U.N.. The following press release reports an important
step in Cambodia's ratification process.]

Dear Friends,

Cambodia has become the first ASEAN country to ratify
the Rome Statute to establish the International
Criminal Court (ICC).

We believe, this example set up by the peace loving
Cambodians would definitely encourage the other
Members of the ASEAN, especially, Thailand-Philippines
and Laos, and also other countries in Asia, to honor
and express their due committment to this
international criminal justice mechanism.
