国連はカブール陥落後に北部同盟による残虐行為が発生している
という現地からの報告に憂慮を示し、クンドゥスなどの北部同盟側
にタリバン（捕虜）への報復行為を行わないように警告した。
国連側はこうした残虐行為の詳細を明らかにしていないが
裁判を伴わない処刑や虐殺行為が示唆されている。

KABUL- Alarmed by reports of atrocities, a United Nations official
warned Northern Alliance fighters on Friday not to engage in reprisals
against Taliban troops in the northern battleground city of Kunduz.
"We are deeply concerned about the current situation," the UN official,
Eric Galt, said in Kabul as fighting raged in the North.
Although he would not elaborate on those reports, he went on to list a
variety of crimes banned by international human rights conventions
governing warfare, including "extrajudical killings,"a diplomatic
description of the sort of excutions and wholesale massacres
