A mass teachers’ strike that is part of the Palestinian power struggle
erupted in violence when masked militants trying to keep students away
from school shot and wounded Issam Ghannam, a 12-year-old boy trying to
go to class in Nablus, a city in the northern West Bank.
パレスチナの権力闘争の一部である大勢の教師のストライキが
暴力の中で勃発しました。

The strike was viewed as a tactic by Fatah to pressure Hamas
to join it in a national unity government.
